Developing Your Lawn Care Routine

Developing Your Lawn Care Routine

Summer is finally upon us. We have seen the April showers, the May flowers have bloomed, and father’s day is right around the corner. The night air is still sweet here in Sheboygan County, the crickets are chirping at night, and the grass is growing thick and green. Last autumn you vowed to make your lawn and yard a priority and it is time to own up to your promise. With the flip of your calendar from May to June, it is time to pay up on your promise and develop a routine that will keep your lawn in tip-top shape. With Country Equipment Service’s four phase routine you can push your lawn care regimen to the next level while reducing the effort required to be the talk of the town from the ground up.

Phase I: Lawn Mowing

The largest portion of your routine will involve taming the ever-growing grass. It is important to make sure you have the right tool for the job. The days of pushing a lawnmower for hours have come and gone; you need a lawn mower that fits your yard. At Country Equipment Service, we can help you find the right fit for your yard. Whether it is one of our mighty Toro Timecutter® or a Zero Turn Troy Bilt Mowers, these powerful machines can make quick work of even the most overwhelming properties.

We also carry a wide variety of push and walk behind mowers. With a wide range of cutting decks, push assistance, as well as Smartstow™ mowers we can find a mower that will fit perfectly into your hand. Having the right tool for the right job is an important component in reducing the amount of work required to keep your lawn looking spiffy, and our variety of lawn mowers cannot be beaten.

Please remember that if you are not ready to upgrade your lawn care equipment this mowing season that keeping your current equipment cleaned, sharpened, and tuned up is one of the next best things you can do for your lawn. There is not a mower in all of Sheboygan County that our experienced service technicians cannot tune up.

Phase 2: Edging & Trimming

Once the majority of your mowing has been done, it is time to move onto the finer work of trimming and edging. Having a trimmer to get into all of the tight spaces that your mower cannot reach is important in order to have that beautiful lawn. We carry gas powered, battery operated, and corded electric trimmers/edgers. Using a trimmer will give your lawn the crisp lines that make your lawn look like a professional has taken care of it.

Phase 3: Detail Work

Your lawn does not just consist of your grass, but it also includes your hedges and your trees. It is time to put down the sheers and move on to the powered hedge trimmer to get the perfectly formed hedges your lawn deserves. At Country Equipment Service we carry both corded and cordless trimmers to make sure that you have the flexibility to move about your lawn and get to all of the difficult angles with ease.

Cleaning up at the end of the job is important as well. Our leaf blowers are the perfect tool for putting the finishing touch on your lawn, cleaning walkways, driveways, and removing clippings from the freshly mown lawn. With phase three complete, it is time to move onto the final phase.

Phase 4: Special Projects

Each lawn is unique and has its own host of special projects necessary to put the finishing touches on it. We have tillers to help you begin your garden before it is too late to plant.

Our pole saws are the perfect tools for trimming those pesky dead branches. When the summer storms come you can rest assured that your lawn will be kept clean, and your property will be safe.

Keeping the weeds dead and your lawn fed is a continuous, special project necessary to keep your lawn healthy and lucious. With smaller and larger tank sizes available, our sprayers will keep your unwanted plants in control.
